I’m looking for an agent, would you represent me or my child?

The simple answer is no, we are not an agency. We explain the difference below.

What is the difference between an agent and a casting director?

Casting Directors/Consultants are contracted by Networks, Studios or Production Companies to provide advice and consultation on matters related to casting for screen projects.

In contrast, an Actor's Agent procures jobs and negotiates deals on an Actor's behalf. For this service they receive a fee usually based on the applicable percentage of the Actor's fee. Essentially, the Casting Director works on behalf of the Producer/Director and the Agent works on behalf of the Actor.

How do I find an agent for myself or my child?

We do not provide referrals to Agents. However, you can find a comprehensive list of Australian Agents on the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance website.

The NSW Office of the Children's Guardian website also has useful information about children working in the entertainment industry. Please note this information varies state to state. Be sure to protect yourself by being cautious and well-informed when choosing an Agent. For more helpful information about the Actor/Agent relationship visit the Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance website.
